California Retina is a full-service retina specialty practice that is committed to the long-term vision of our patients and the community. Founded by Dr. Kristie Lin, an award-winning eye surgeon serving the greater San Gabriel Valley for over a decade, California Retina provides the medical expertise and patient comfort that puts patients at ease and has built a community around eye health.
Headquartered in a brand-new office in Pomona, California Retina offers a suite of medical and surgical interventions for retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal tears and detachments, epiretinal membrane, retinal vein occlusions and retinopathy of prematurity. There are few people in the area qualified to perform vitreoretinal surgery in both adults and children like our surgeons. Retinal surgery (vitrectomy inside the eye and scleral buckles outside the eye) includes treatment for vision threatening retinal detachments, dropped cataract lens fragments, bleeding inside the eye and scarring from epiretinal membranes. We provide the highest level of care for our patients, integrating cutting-edge surgical treatments while treating them with compassion, dignity and respect.

California Retina serves the community not only by providing top-quality care to patients, but by serving the community beyond the office walls. California Retina’s Women’s Eye Health Initiative (WEHI), launched in 2018, serves to address the Pomona Valley community’s needs related to the eye health of women and girls. Globally, it’s known that ⅔ of vision issues are in women and girls, and Dr. Lin saw the need to lead an effort to address this overwhelming challenge. From eye injury prevention to screening for preventative care for genetic eye conditions, this initiative brings together experts in the eye health field to serve women and girls in need.
